Wednesday set an all time him for Seattle for that day. The cruel and mean bosses told some of us we could leave early because our cubicles were meltibles.
Mine was at 90 degrees by 10AM. People would come to talk to me and stop dead in their tracks when they tried to get in my cubicle. Cubes on either side of me were 10 degrees cooler. I got lots of sympathy.
My 70% chocolate stash got too hot and bloomed. Wahhhhh! On the other hand I work on a college campus and so there was plenty of flesh to be observed.
But there was a girls basketball camp and during their breaks they’d all go outside and wander around with a cellphone to their ear, oblivious to the rest of the world and even their teammates, although I suspect some of them were talking to their teammates right there but on cellphones.
Msdrfooms finally got a cellphone. She travels a lot. Some Motorola Trac which she’s not gonna activate until next week to save her time. I suppose I will need to succumb to this too, but I want a phone that has some features. Although I have no need to watch movies or sports on a 2.xx inch screen.
The living room and dining painting is done, terra cotta and celery, very nice, and the bookcases are back, the piano is back, we’re going through the books and LPs to see what to really keep and what to sell. LPs might be collectable.
Must go thin the peach tree now. Looks like a good crop this year if we beat the birds to them.
